Help us bring hope

Zanethemba is a safe haven for young children in Port Elizabeth, South Africa that provides temporary care for children from unstable homes. The local government provides aid to children 7 years and older, leaving the youngest and most vulnerable at risk. That’s where we found our purpose. In fact, our name in its original language (isiXhosa) means ‘to bring hope’ and we seek to represent that definition through name and action. Zanethemba provides a safe and loving environment for children ages 0-6 years old. We’ve seen the neglect and abuse these children face and strive to provide all resources possible to help facilitate healing.
